CURRENT AFFAIRS 14-09-2016



1. रियो पैरालंपिक में भारत के देवेंद्र झाजरिया ने इतिहास रच दिया है, जेवलियन थ्रो में उन्होंने विश्व रिकॉर्ड के साथ स्वर्ण पदक जीता है। देवेंद्र ने 63.97 मी तक जेवलियन थ्रो कर विश्व रिकॉर्ड बनाया। वे इससे पहले एथेंस पैरालंपिक में भी विश्व रिकॉर्ड के साथ स्वर्ण पदक जीत चुके हैं। देवेंद्र भारत के पहले एथलीट हैं जिन्होंने ओलंपिक या पैरालंपिक में दो व्यक्तिगत स्वर्ण पदक जीते हैं। रियो पैरालंपिक में भारत के अब 2 स्वर्ण, 1 रजत और 1 कांस्य पदक के साथ कुल 4 पदक हो गए हैं और भारत पदक तालिका में 31वें पायदान पर चल रहा है।

2. The 2016 Kabaddi World Cup is the eighth edition of the Kabaddi World Cup, that will be held from October 2016 in Ahmedabad, India.
India is hosting the World cup for the third time and have won all the previous cups






3.India's Deepa Malik has created history by becoming the first-ever woman from India to win a medal at the Paralympics when she bagged a silver in the shot-put event at Rio De Janeiro



4. Typhoon Meranti, believed to be the world's strongest storm this year, has hit Taiwan, leaving more than half a million homes without power and forcing around 1,500 people to be evacuated.

7. Today, union Minister of Law and Justice and Ministry of Information Technology Ravi shankar prashad had a very meaningful and momentous meeting with the Prime Minister of Latvia H.E. Mr Maris Kucinskis

Latvian President Raimonds Vejonis nominated Maris 

Kucinskis as the country's next prime minister.



8.Indian cyclists bagged 6 medals, including 3 gold, 2 silver & 1 bronze on opening day of Track Asia Cup.

Cycling Federation of India is hosting the third edition of Track Asia Cup 2016 from Sept. 14 to 16 at the Indoor Cycling Velodrome at IG Sports Complex in New Delhi.



9. China has finished constructing largest radio telescope in the world.

11.Reliance Communications Ltd has agreed to combine its mobile 
phone services business with smaller rival Aircel to create the 
nation’s third-biggest cellular carrier by subscribers.


Reliance Communications and Aircel’s parent Malaysia’s Maxis will own half each of the merged entity -- with assets worth Rs 65,000 crore,
